20 remarkable women making a difference in the world. I am so grateful to these wonderful women for sharing themselves to be part of this portrait exhibit in support of Traffic Stops Where Love Begins .
Street photography: Humanity. The soul of innocent human beings walking their own path in life; the soul of a human being exposed under the sun on a cool fall day; the soul of a human being engaged in his love for his art; the soul of a human being expressed on the lines of his smile; the soul of innocence marginalized by society just because they are perceived as “different”; the soul of a human being standing on her own courage...
The vehement power of Nature. Zion, Bryce, Moab, Colorado.

It is such a pleasure to work with Tulia’s Artisan Gallery. They offer the finest examples of ancient techniques mixed with a modern flair. They co-create with indigenous tribes or traditional artisans working to preserve ancestral lands, culture, and traditions. Tulia’s also provides a platform for these artists to introduce their treasures to new markets, contribute to their local economy and empower their own local communities.

What inspires us and motivate us to do what we do?…
Creating beautiful settings incorporating simple elements of our daily living. Breakfast, a photo series inspired by seasonal fruits, fair trade teas from around the world and delicious aromas that evoke memories from home and family.
Architecture and design have the power to shape the minds of people. They play a fundamental role in the integration of the communities we live in. Our homes are an extension of who we are, a micro cosmos of the way we perceive the world and how we navigate through it. Photographing interiors is an intimate process in which my lens can capture glimpses of the humans who inhabit such space. Quite a privilege.
This is an Awareness Photography Campaign entitled, “What Do You Bring To This World”. I created it to bring the difficult issue of modern slavery into public space. Every year, I walk the streets of Chicago and ask the public to write on the palm of their hands what they believe they bring to the world to make it a better place. Then I invite them to share their thoughts as I photograph their hands. I have come across people from all over the world and without an exception, everyone pauses for a long moment to ponder on a question that undoubtedly, makes them look within. No matter the age, gender, or nationality, everyone yearns for Love and Compassion, Freedom and Care, Prosperity and Peace, Generosity and Kindness, Humor and Laughter, Positivity and Creativity, Joy and Empathy, Understanding and Happiness, Patience and Wisdom, all virtues that make us humans who care for one another.
Modern slavery is all around us. It is present in the cloths we wear, the electronics we use, and the food we eat. There is also a correlation between modern slavery and climate change: two global issues that are disrupting the lives of all of us, specially the most vulnerable members of society who are displaced to unknown territories where they become pray to traffickers.
The magnitude of this human rights violation cannot be denied, and yet, we as consumers, have the power to change the course of this issue. Our freedom to consume whatever we want comes with a responsibility, the responsibility to act with care. So, let’s purchase products from companies that show transparency in their supply chain and make those companies accountable. Let’s support socially conscious businesses that are fair trade certified, and let’s support modern abolitionist individuals and organizations dedicated to restore the lives of millions of men, women, and children who deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, just like us.
There are over 40 million human beings enslaved around the world today. Let’s make history, and take a stand to end modern day slavery. We can do this. We truly can!

To explore our own emotions while stepping into a space that represents the chaos that surrounds us. What are the choices we make while in that space, who do we choose to become at that moment. How courageous are we to embrace our vulnerable self while exposed to the emptiness of the unknown, how willing are we to open our hearts to such exploration. These are the many questions this idea is inviting us to ponder on. This exploration will be an on going process of evolution that may require a lifetime to complete.
Celebrating friendship.

YOUNG FILMMAKERS EVENT
I have been volunteering at the One Earth Film Festival (OEFF), in different capacities, since its inception in 2011. The Young Filmmakers Contest is the product of an organic evolution of the festival. These events are dear to my heart and they have made such impact in my life. The Young Filmmakers contest is quite a feast of creativity and ingenuity pouring out of the minds and souls of our youth. From elementary school to Post-Graduate, these young filmmakers demonstrate how committed they are to raise awareness on the issue of climate change.
